Japanese Chipmaker Rapidus Collaborates with HCLTech to Advance Semiconductor Innovation
Japanese semiconductor manufacturer Rapidus has partnered with Indian technology firm HCLTech to advance next-generation chip development. Announced on Monday, the collaboration includes two newly established development centers in India that commenced operations immediately. HCLTech will provide essential technologies such as photomask designs and process design kits, while also training semiconductor experts for Rapidus. Additionally, IBM Japan opened an office in Hokkaido to support clients like Rapidus as they work toward 2-nanometer mass production by fiscal 2027.
